What should we work on this week?
In the past week, a Middletown parent brought up concerns about bullying in the city's schools, residents in Tylerville speoke about contamination and police in Cromwell urged residents to lock up their cars and belongings due to thefts.
What would you like to see us write about this week?
With more budget hearings to come, we intend to dedicate some resources to those to help explain to residents where their money is going. But what would you like to read about?
Please let us know in the comment section below.

I think you have to work on having Lauren make up a few batches of those burgers to bring to work this week.
A breakdown of the town budget is always a veddy intersting thing. Maybe even ask the local mayor/selectman how they feel they could improve it, feel about it at present ( when not running for office ), essentially break them into confessing they aren't doing their very best. Whip out those video cams and record the answer to the toughest question you can think of? or have some people write in what they would ask the Mayor/Selectman, ask the question and record the answer cold ) A new town each week. Grill 'em much like Lauren did to the burgers Regards, Sardonica
I thought 'speoke' was when a topless man in Maine stuttered after a couple dozen topless women walked by him. You use it differently here. Is that how residents in Cromwell speak after being contaminated?
Just kidding.
My suggestion would be to do a few more personal stories. Things seem a little dry as though all the web criticism has made some writers afraid to veer away from AP style for fear of criticism from Snarko Marx (he has a high IQ and low EQ). Or maybe a vacation is in order: Take a cruise and come back with a fresh perspective. After all, the plant explosion and all the other junk going on has probably stressed a few people out or wound them up so tight that a lot of the stories just seem blah.
How about a Mike Barnacle (Boston Globe) style columnesque piece about a cop's perspective on the north end. Take out all the happy PR "We're so happy to be cops on glorified Segways..." and really get in his head about a drug addicted hooker... then try to tell the hooker's story from when she was a little girl with unequipped parents.
To above comment... Are you suggesting our beloved Ms Editor go undercover as a Main Street hooker? Yes, this would be an interesting story and I know I would read it! I prefer my 'submit a question' and ask a public servant on cam. Short and simple and can be oh so telling. One question, then run like hell.Call it Pressing Issues or ImPress Us With Your BS. The cruise suggestion is also good only if all of the posters can also take vacations paid by MP. Regards, Sardonica
We should work on our tans

That was a nice story. I'd glossed over it before thinking it was about something I wouldn't be interested in. Thanks and it was no virus problem for me.
The problem seemed to be fixed by 7ish? Frday night.
We did have an attack on all our websites company-wide this week - middletownpress.com seemed to be spared most of the problems, although some of you may have experienced minor issues temporarily. Nhregister.com had some virus issues, registercitizen.com as well. Our tech people worked around the clock to get them fixed and all should be better now.

Did you know that city hall was closed for a 1/2 day on Tuesday and all day weds...the 6th and 7th of july when the air conditioning system failed?
Are you aware that the city is taking a parking lot next to city hall and raising it 10 feet and making it available to citizens to park...That can't be cheap?
